Hey look everybody!
It's NBC News Deputy Political Director,
Mark Murray!

His MSNBC bio says "NBC News Off-air Political Reporter" but after what we saw right before Hardball today, someone's going to have to get into that HTML and change "off-air" to "on-air". One of The Chuck's deputies hit the air with the cogent political analysis we've come to expect from The Chuck's office. Just how cool is Mark? The man has his own Viva Chuck Todd e-card. That's how cool.

i'm sure he's brilliant, but thats a face only an emotionally detached number cruncher could love...

Yeah, but he is the roadie that you have to do unspeakable sexual favors for just so you can see the door that leads to the hallway that goes to The Chuck's dressingroom.

And he still hasn't called like he said he would ;P

Check out Chuck chatting with his minion Mark at this week's edition of Veepstakes: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24672458/

Mark has been subbing for Chuck from time to time on that "First Read" segment just after "Morning Joe" ends so I can't fathom why his bio hasn't been updated. I like Mark but it's always a little letdown to see a face other than Chuck's as I start my day.

Mark Murray is a great analyst. He's earnest and sincere, sort of the Walter Cronkite of his generation. Plus, he's HOT. In the extreme.
