The Chuck vs. Obama

The Chuck got called on tonight and stuck it to the man:

"Thank you, Mr. President. Some have compared this financial crisis to a war, and in times of war, past presidents have called for some form of sacrifice. Some of your programs, whether for Main Street or Wall Street, have actually cushioned the blow for those that were irresponsible during this -- during this economic period of prosperity or supposed prosperity that you were talking about.

Why, given this new era of responsibility that you're asking for, why haven't you asked for something specific that the public should be sacrificing to participate in this economic recovery?"

This is argument numero uno in the case against David Gregory at MTP.

Don't get me wrong, Gregory is fine -- but The Chuck really stuck it to the Prez on that question, no? Can you see The Chuck sitting across the roundtable from someone like Eric Cantor or Chuck Schumer? The Todd sucks all of the spin right out of the room!

PS - my word verification is 'hymen'. Totally not kidding...

I thought Chuck was so physically active during his questions. Why all the rockin? Also what a tee up for the Prez, are you kinding what kind of sacrifice? We should see him called on many times in the future after that meatball in Obama's wheel house. Even Obama came back to it later, almost thanking Chuck for the lob.
