For west coasters, I gotta say the VCT crew is on the ball! I came looking to see if you had caught this little gem. It's an interesting piece.
Chuck Todd would make a great moderator for the Meet the Press. However, I would prefer the pre-existing format with 3/4 of the show being interviews by the moderator and 1/4 as a round-table discussion led by the moderator. Either way, however, Chuck Todd would be the best choice. Moreover, it is because of Tim Russert's assistance that Chuck Todd is even at the level he is now.
Chuck needs to be the main person to host MTP.
I hope I'm not being an overly sensistive Chuckolyte here but, why can't they just name Chuck moderator? It seems a little bit demeaning to say that a Chuck-led MTP needs a team of moderators. I like what anonymous said -- stick to the format -- Chuck interviews newsmakers, followed by a round table moderated by Chuck, with the occasional special hour devoted to one guest.
I think the hesitation was because of following Tim Russert, the legend. Obviously The Chuck is the only man for the job and I don't know why they would even consider bringing Gregory on board. He has nothing to add to the mix. I'm one of the few who even LIKE Race for the Whitehouse but he's not senior enough to host MTP.
this is a no brainer. It has to be Chuck. Gregory has too much White House briefing room baggage.
Mika Brezinksi would be a much better choice. She is balanced, has a good mind, great interviewing skills. Time for a woman
